Doppuri is a language-learning tool provided as-is, free of charge, while it is in development. Be sensible with it and it is yours to use.
Using Doppuri
You may use Doppuri for your own language learning, personal or commercial. You keep everything you create in it. Your texts, your cards and your notes are yours, and the backup file is there so you can take them with you at any time.
Do not use the AI features to generate unlawful content, and do not try to circumvent the daily limits or make automated requests through the service.
Accounts
An account is optional. You are responsible for the email address you sign in with. We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the AI proxy, which exists on a fixed budget shared by everyone.
Content you import
Doppuri lets you paste in your own texts. You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you import. Imported text is stored in your browser, and synced to your account if you have one.
The browser extension
The extension reads a page only on a site you have allowed it to, and the lookup happens on your own device. Use it on pages you are entitled to read; it does not get you past a paywall and is not meant to.
AI output
Explanations, translations, example sentences, writing corrections and generated audio come from a language model and can be wrong. Treat them as a study aid and not as an authority, particularly for anything that matters.
The dictionary definitions and the graded stories are not AI output; they come from the sources credited in Settings → About.
No warranty
Doppuri is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. It is in active development: features change, and data loss, while something we work to avoid, is possible. Download a backup if your progress matters to you.
We are not liable for any loss arising from using the app, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in the EU, you keep the right to bring a claim in your own local courts under your own consumer law.
Changes
These terms and the privacy notice will change as the app does. The date at the top of each is when it last did. Questions go to contact@doppuri.app.
